Mr. Raouf Bouchamaoui

Mr. Raouf Bouchamaoui – Co-founder ; Managing Director Bouchamaoui Industries

Raouf BOUCHAMAOUI graduated from the University of Michigan USA in 1988 with a BS in Industrial engineering.

His technical and academic study was supplemented with executive management courses at Harvard and Tufts Universities.

He also undertook financial training at brokers Rodman & Renshaw in both New York and Chicago in financial and oil derivatives.

His professional career began in 1989 with Bouchamaoui Activités Petroliéres in EPC contracting.

He progressed to senior positions within the Bouchra Holding Group (A long established company involved in oil and Gas activities). During this period, he was key to the strategic business development of the group where he was

responsible for :

Restructuring the core activities of the family business under a new governance

framework namely BOUCHAMAOUI Industries

Investment in upstream exploration and production with the formation of Medex

Petroleum with production reaching 11,000bbls/day

Acquisition of Corex Services a global leader in the provision of geological services and

Improved Oil Recovery testing and he currently heads up the executive board of Corex.

Mr. BOUCHAMAOUI has also been the CEO of BOUCHAMAOUI Industries since 2008 and his leadership secured one of the largest oil infrastructure projects ever undertaken in Tunisia (The Nawara Project).

His entrepreneurship, strong ethics, values and openness together with a spirit of partnership has resulted in BI collaborating with renowned multinationals to share know-how and create exciting global business opportunities.

Mr. BOUCHAMAOUI is also very active in non-profit sector where he has shared his motivational qualities, leadership and business skills to assist others. He plays an active role as a Federal Member of the Tunisian Federation of Sports for the disabled. He is very proud to have accompanied the Tunisian Paralympic team during their successful campaign at the London 2012 Olympics. He is also Vice-president of the Carthage Association of Malouf and music and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
